Mayssia (May) Elajami

Owner, Principal Lawyer

May Elajami was called to the Bar in 2016 after completing her articles working for one of the most prominent criminal lawyers in Toronto. She subsequently moved to even busier practice where she ran up to 25 trials a month as well as where she gained an invaluable Trial Litigation experience (that many even practising for many years lawyers lack).

As a result of that deep understanding of litigation at the most intense and challenging level of legal context, i.e. trials, Ms. Elajami has an enormous hands on knowledge, experience and skills to work on the case from the very beginning to the very end, i.e. how to understand the case strengths and weaknesses (so to understand the potential outcome right away), on the most effective strategies on how to tackle the cases as they progrss; and along on the most efficient mechanisms on how to deal with both opposing counsels, and judges (as well as crowns in some instances and other parties related to the case) in order to manage it during the litigation process.

Ms. May Elajami practices almost exclusively in the Superior Cour of Justice Civil Court nowadays. May strives to engage with her clients and the Justice system representatives with the utmost level of integrity, professionalism and respect.

In her spare time, May loves the outdoors and is an avid tennis player and a cyclist. She enjoys cooking, working out at the gym and spending time with her son and partner at the Zoo as well as other kids playgrounds that Toronto has to offer.
